The CGC Tour Index will be used from the member’s 4th event on the tour.
*** Each player is responsible for providing a valid and truthful handicap***

4 and 5 completed rounds – The average of the two best rounds
6 to last 8 completed rounds – The average of the best three rounds
The maximum possible index is set according to the following scales:

The member’s Golf Canada registry and the Golf Canada index will be used to establish the provisional index according to the same scales as the previous point.
Members who do not have a Golf Canada index or registry will be contacted by tour management and asked to fill out a form that will be used to establish their provisional index for the first 3 events in which they will participate.

SEASON RANKINGS
(ORDER OF MERIT)
There will be one ranking for the gross competition and another for the handicap competition.
BAD ROUND OR ABSENCE: Each player is entitled to one bad round or absence without being penalized in the standings. Points will be counted only for the best 8 rounds or less, if applicable, before the final event.
Points accumulated during the season remain in place for the grand final.
TIE BREAKER: A maximum of three extra holes will be possible to determine the winner unless otherwise specified in the local rules notice sent to all players prior to the events.
The retrogression formula will be used for determining the winner of each event if extra holes were not sufficient to do so. It will be the score per hole in ascending order of difficulty handicap. Original scorecards from host clubs, on site, will be used to determine difficulty rating for each hole.

BURSARIES AND PRIZES DISTRIBUTION
The amateur golfer who would rank in the purses of the two divisions will not be able to win more than $1,200. Since all our competitions include a handicap index formula, it is impossible for an amateur golfer to receive money on the CGC Tour.
The non-amateur as well as the professional will be able to collect the money without restriction and/or limit of amount.
All prizes and purses for the winners as well as the participation prizes will be awarded during the Gala des Champions. A player not attending the Champions Gala will receive their award by mail in the weeks following the Gala.
BURSARIES AND PRIZES
*** Participation in a minimum of 3 events on the Tour since 2021 is required at all times to win a purse in the CGC – Net Division. ***
*** Participation in a minimum of 3 events on the Tour in 2024, without regional Tour restrictions, is required at all times to win a 2024 exemption ***
Tour members will accumulate purses in the 2 divisions, according to their ranking positions at each event.

No player with amateur status who wishes to retain it may win more than $1,200 in gift certificates per competition.
